Torment (2/2)
01/10/12(Tue)04:43 No.33117128>>33117117 Fluttershy torturing an animal until it admits to loving her.
"Scooty, why did Dad send you here?"
Scootaloo shifted, and the chain attached to her hobbles rustled. "I don't know. Please just let me go."
Fluttershy's smile grew wider. "Now Scooty, you know what happens when you lie." She picked up the feather duster again. It was a wooden handle, with a bunch of orange feathers attached.
"He sent me to see how you were doing!" Scootaloo said quickly, her wings fluttering anxiously.
Fluttershy put down the feather duster. "Good. I remember Dad, Scooty. I remember how loud he could yell. Did he ever yell at you, Scooty?"
Scootaloo shook her head.
"DID HE EVER YELL AT YOU?!?!?" shouted Fluttershy.
"NO! No, he never did!" answered Scootaloo, now shaking.
"That's because he loved you, Scooty. He never loved me." She rubbed her left foreleg with her right hoof. It was a mannerism she had picked up somewhere, but she couldn't remember right now.
"That's not true, sis! He loves you. He still wants you to know that." Scootaloo felt that wasn't enough, and tried to figure out what Fluttershy wanted to hear. "Aand... I love you too."
Fluttershy's eyes went wide. As if it was a dream, she walked slowly up to the cage. Her expression was blank as she said softly, "Say it again."
Scootaloo looked down, then quickly back up, as if she was afraid not to look at her. "I love you."
Then she rubbed her left foreleg with her right hoof. Like Mom did.
Like Mom did.
Fluttershy's world cracked at the seams.
Numbly, silently, she opened the cage door, and removed the hobbles from Scootaloo. She stood there, looking at the empty cage as she heard Scootaloo galloping off to town.
She stood there numbly until the police arrived. |
