If not, you'll have to start paying people to draft in CAD and machine parts for you. That will cost you big bucks.
Your alpha prototype will be full of small bugs in all likelihood, with bits of metal that chafe like crazy, difficult component mating, and design flaws. Iterative beta testing will be painstaking and expensive, since you'll make several different parts of varying sizes, strengths, and actions.
Also, if you get a good design after beta, then you can think about selling your patent to the big names (Colt, S&W, Ruger, etc.) Make sure to get multiple offers for the patent, and don't sell yourself short. Good luck, OP. |
