12/24/11(Sat)04:08 No.32627391>>32627317 Let's put it like this: You craft a small wooden object. Someone comes along, thinks it looks nice, and steals it. You think, "oh, well, that's not so bad. I can always make another one." That person returns, constantly stealing your tiny wooden crafts, claiming them as his own. Then he begins to sell them, making money from your sweat and almost certainly nicked fingers. You rankle at this, but seem to think there's no way around it, and continue on. Then one day you are accosted by a "fan" of the person who stole your work. They have come accusing you of theft, and demand that you stop making your tiny wooden crafts, simply because it is an insult to the one they believe made them first. That's basically how this boils down in peoples' heads. Though the example probably shifts from person to person. |
