>>32580437 >>32580425 >>32580417 >>32580476 I can't honestly speak for all the reasoning of these people, but if it's not good enough, it's not good enough, that's my motto. You know? Maybe it's the Ponychan thing, who knows, but I prefer to think it's just because I need to improve. Every bit of harsh criticism helps towards improvement, and that's what counts, am I right?
>>32580411 A good writing tutorial? I can't think of any off the top of my head...I don't think there are any, in truth. To write, you need to learn the language, and to be honest, the only place you can really learn that is by doing lots of reading! Pick up as much good literature as you can and take tips from there. I swiped my style wholesale from the pages of P.G. Wodehouse, you know! Just practice, practice, practice, steal inspiration, and keep asking for help and critique. You'll get there eventually!
Actually, that's a good idea. I'll speak to NTSTS about putting together a writing tutorial. I imagine it'll be of help! But I know FiMchan and Ponychan have thriving /fic/ boards, make sure you check there too. Until then, just remember the key points - work hard, read a lot, and make sure you expand your horizons! One of the big things about writing is drawing on personal experience. It's hard to write well without it! |
