Chapter One
Lilpip is cleaning the walls of the maintenance stalls walls for her PipBuck teacher, when Velvet Remedy enters and asks her to replace the padding on her PipBuck. Lilpip agrees to have it done by the next day, partly due to the crush she has for her.
On her way to Velvets room, Lilpip discovers that Velvet is missing from the Stable, and no one can find her on account of her giving Lilpip her PipBuck. Latter that day, in her room, Lilpip goes over the events, and finds in Velvet's PipBuck a audio file with the code to open the Stable's vault doors spoken by an unknown female voice. After many hours contemplating, Lilpip decides to leave Stable Two as well to bring Velvet back. Knocking out the guards at the entrance, the code works, but the Overmare warns Lilpip that if she leaves, she can never return to Stable Two. Lilpip leaves, and steps into a hallway that leads up outside.
Chapter Two
Lilpip emerges into the outside world, and after adjusting to her first time in real darkness, she decides to head towards Sweet Apple Acres. There, she finds a message on a terminal by Velvet, stating not to follow her. Spotting a camp fire in the distance, Lilpip heads toward it. Arriving, she finds a unicorn, Monterey Jack bound by three slaver ponys. Captured as well, she is taken to a town to be sold, when at the bridge of Ponyville there is a shoot out and the slavers are killed by a pair of raiders. Lilpip frees jack, and they are able to fight them off and kill them. However, after Jack unsuccessfully tries to take what Lilpip has by force, they part ways, and she heads toward Carousel Boutique. Arriving there she heads to sleep.
