Basic over view, setting the tone of the story. A great war took place, and eventually, megaspells, equivalent to nuclear weapons devastated the lands of Equestria.
There where underground complexes known as Stables, made before this war, that housed ponys through this end of the world event, equivalent to fallout shelters. It is mentioned that these Stables all eventually opened up after some time except for one known as Stable Two.
Prologue
The narrator, Lilpip, starts off speaking as if recalling a story. She starts talking about PipBucks and their uses. However, she isn't impressed about these devices, as they are so ordinary and common in the stable.
It is revealed that the narrators Cutie Mark is an image of a PipBuck, who feels its a cutie mark of a cutie mark. Feeling depressed that her talent wasn't clear to her, and that her efforts where getting her in trouble, she took the C.A.T. (Cutie-mark Aptitude Test), but that didn't pan out either. It's revealed that the government and Overmare are all unicorns, creating artificial light for the farms. Lilpip finally mentions her name at the end.
