You guys have to admit. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy make an amazing pair. I think it has to do with the fact that their personalities are stark contrasts of one another. RD being high strung, confident, often ballsy and arrogant. Fluttershy (Not when she unleashes Flutterbitch mind you, just her normal self) being shy, timid, afraid of everything and always fearing the "inevitable defeat".
When the two of them picked up that piece of Rarity's cape and went after Rarity/Spike, that look they gave each other. Was subtle. Only on the screen for a second. Most of the target audience of this show wouldn't have noticed it. It's like they bring each other into balance. Fluttershy knocking RD down a peg and RD boosting Fluttershy's morale.

You have to admit, irregardless if you hate one or both of those characters, they make an amazing fucking pair.
