I wouldn't be too worried about outgrowing it. Bamboo's plenty if all you want is to do some drawfagging, and the only big difference between some of the other models is just how big they are. I learnt to use a tablet on an intuos3 A4 at my high school, so after I graduated I got my own. And if it doesn't work out, you can always sell it to someone else

I'd love an episode where the origin of discord gets explained, maybe mixed with the past of Celestia.

If we stick with the Discord and Celestia were both around and something of friends theory, we could have it that she changed when she was finally forced to see the pain their pranks caused.

Imagine them making a looney tunes style hole in the ground for a pony to fall in, but it's okay, there's a pool of water at the bottom. Just after the splash, they leave the area. Later on, Celestia comes back and sees the damage she has done, like the pony now has a fever/ broke a leg. And that's when it sinks in. She has all that power, and she's treating them like toys to be cast away at a whim.

THEORY TIME: As a final blow before he was sealed away, Discord placed a curse upon the genetic structure of ponies. In Discord's time and for long before it, all ponies were Alicorns. After he broke their genes, their offspring began splitting into the earth, peagasus and unicorn species we see today.

The reason why Luna and Celestia are still around is because of the seals nature. The seal on Discord kept them alive and they maintained each other. When Luna was banished and the elements lost, the seal was weakened but not broken. When the seal was broken and eventually reformed by Twilight and her friends, Celestia and Luna lost their immortality and it transferred to the mane 6 who now hold the seal.

This explains why Luna appeared to age so rapidly between S1 and S2. Her age is beginning to catch up with her and she has grown accordingly.

In practicality, I just don't see it. While I see a young Celestia as naive, I NEVER see her as grimdark or evil. The way she plays out in the show is without a doubt playful-benevolent. Her character appears to be actually disliking of her status, wishing she could relate to ponies not as a princess, but pony-to-pony. None of this plays into a Tyrestia idea.

It's just an interesting idea though, on speculating what would make her change. It'd have to be something very personal, like perhaps her actions causing the creation of Nightmare Moon, thus the loss of her sister, and many years of soul searching that would come to new epiphanies. >>32027851

Celestia had to make a hard decision. By defeating Discord she disrupted the very flow of the nature. When the eternal primal chaos was banished even the sun stopped moving. Life itself stood still, without the power that made it go on by itself. I can totally imagine how ponies were not happy with sudden responsibility they've had to assume over weather, changing seasons and everything. There's quite a possibility that celebration of Discord's end eventually turned into disapproval of the new monarchy. But that is the price of true freedom that the royal sisters gave them.
