As Rarity said, Twilight is the best friend a pony could have.

I think Rarity's redemption in this episode was really good and worthwhile. Trying to balance your friends and the life you've dreamed for your entire life is a hard thing to do. But thanks to Twilight's kindness and Fancy Pants enjoying her friends, she was able to have both.

Only once she was able to admit to everyone and herself that her friends are the most important ponies in the world to her did she get her happy ending and some alone time with Celestia.

OP, that new character reminds me of the character Plum from that French thriller "With a Friend Like Harry." Not just the appearance but the demeanor. She's even got the fleurs de lis.

so, confirmed for being left behind back in Season 1 and having to live in canterlot.

That's kinda sad in a funny sort of way.

A group of ponies, completely on their own accord, form a fan club about Rainbow Dash. Dash acts slightly egotistical after SAVING LIVES. Her friends voluntarily attend an event where Dash is taking pictures with her fans and they get slightly annoyed. So they concoct an entire scheme, putting ponies lives in danger, and aggravating RD (including lying to her face) to the point where she snaps. Her friends don't apologize, instead claiming that it was for her own good (when in reality the situation could have been handled with a 30 second conversation.)

Rarity lies four times, three of those times to TS who WAS THE ONE WHO GOT HER A SUITE IN THE CASTLE IN THE FIRST PLACE. And in the end, instead of admitting her lies and apologizing, Rarity does the bare minimum (admits that her friends were from Ponyville, not that she was from there) AND gets to keep her friends and her contacts in Canterlot.

It's pretty obvious who ranks above who in the mane 6 social hierarchy.
