The mod I'm currently working on should be pretty fun if I can get it off the ground. Like I said, working on the map is slow going -- I have a design, but actually making it in game is difficult, and then it has to be remade for each mapmode (political, terrain, etc).
Basically, what I have planned is that the beginning of the Grand Campaign will be some arbitrary date during Discord's rule of the Pony lands. The first missions of the Equestrian culture nations will be to conquer their neighbors, defeat Discord, and unite Equestria.
After that, I have some cool ideas for the united Equestria, like having a faction system (like Ming) where you balance Earth, Pegasus, and Unicorn. But instead of having your factions influenced by sliders, they would affected by the number of provinces you have of each pony subculture (earth, pegasus, unicorn), and of course, the old modifiers (ruler stats and events).
I'm very excited to work on that part. It's familiar to me from previous mods, and promises to be a load of fun... I just have to stick out the hard part to get to it! |
