If you get all 24 stones and bring them to the girl in the Guild, you get a permanent perk which GREATLY increases the amount of gems you find in pretty much all loot containers and chests for the rest of the game.

I don't think there's any way to track them on the map or keep track of which ones you've already gotten, though, so it's pretty awful trying to track 'em all down.

At the mage guild, you get a tour of the hall in front, and the dorms to the left. There's also dorms to the right, where the chick will teach you destruction spells
Try the thieves guild quests early. You get an awesome sword (chillrend, form oblivion), a decent sword (nightingale blade), a pretty damn good bow (nightingale blade), and an unbreakable lockpick, so you'll never have to worry about that again
Fus Ro Dah is not only fun, but effective
Save early, save often. Get your ass kicked by a boss? Try it several times. What seems like an impossible fight, can have a totally different outcome if you change your tactics

I remember when the pony threads first started, the thing I remember is those posts chronicalling how many threads went over 300. Wow, that would be a huge post now. I also remember way back when stories were posted as images, and we'd have a friend-off every other week. Lots of art and fics in those days. That's still true of course, but it's not here so much, kinda spread out over the internet. I miss it a bit.

I know I'm going to win no friends, but here is my thought.

/co/'s current users and the part of ponychan that did not come from /b/ were a good balance of each other. Back in those days, both sides were here and kept each other in check. The more P'chan like mentality gave the threads a friendly feel, while the more current /co/ climate kept the extreme sensitivity of Ponychan in check.

I really liked those threads. You could feel like smiling and getting excited while talking about ponies, and yet little of it started to give off vibes of obsession, just joy.
