I did this weeks ago in a nearly dead thread. Might as well repost.

You know, Im actually realy liking this idea.
Except, instead of a joke ending, it would be Applejack goes, and invites the rest of the mane six, even though she is worried that they will show her up, because they (mostly) are all far more suited to the life than she is. Fluttersy is a famous model, Dash is a world class athlete, Rarity is classy as fuck and beautiful and Twilight grew up in Canterlot as the personal student to the princess. She just wants to spend some time with her aunt and uncle Orange, and doesn't want to get embarassed by seeming like the only backwater person in her group of friends.

It turns out all her fears are for naught though, none of the rest of the cast can avoid making social blunders left and right. Twilight gets into a discussion about magic theory with a high level unicorn, which devolves into a shouting match. Rainbow gets a big head after one person mentions that they heard about her victory in the Young Fliers competition, and ends up giving a demonstration of a trick and destroys the buffet table. Rarity wears her newest design, which is absolutely sure to catch on with the high and mighty, and is already becoming popular in Canterlot, but the ponies in this city have a different idea of style, and it recieves lukewarm attention, so she attempts to make emergency stealth alterations involving the tablecloth that end in embarrasment. Fluttershy recieves attention for her brief stint as Equestria's most popular fashion model, and retreats to a coat closet for the rest of the episode, but for when another main six needs to get something, resulting in humurous situations. Pinkie is just Pinkie.

Rainbow Dash hurts her wings flying. She can't fly for a few months. She keeps eating like she normaly does, except minus the physical activity. After a few months, her wings are better, but she still can't fly because of her new found weight gain. the rest of the episode is applejack putting her through exercise regimes to get her back into the air.

Applejack is fairing incredibly well. She is making perfect use of her cultured accent from her last visit, and is truly enjoying a bit of light banter and catching up with her seldom seen relatives and their friends.

Eventually she overhears some of the fancy city ponies hudled togething whispering to each other about how crude the rest of the main six are, how uncivilised they are and all that. Being the element of honesty, she confronts them directly about this, and demands that they make their accusations to the ponies they were speaking about. Each is flustered, and manages to stutter out their complaint, at which point it is refuted by AJ as she lists why her friends are excellent ponies, who may be making mistakes, but nothing that they should be gossiping cruelly about.

They of course apologise, as Aj is completely right, and even often compliments to the ponies they were disparaging earlier, along the lines of "You know, I really would like to see that trick performed. From what I saw before you hit the buffet table, it was really impressive." The party then coninues for a short while, and the main six are completely included and enjoying the party and the socialising, but its getting late and they have to head home.

Cut to a scene of the ponies in a carriage ride home, where the rest of the main six thanking AJ for coming to their rescue, and she responds with a "Shoot, it 'aint nothin'" western as hell response, as her first not-classy line since the start of the party. All the ponies hug and laugh, as the camera withdraws out the carriage window and into the distance, then fades to black.
