I thought the ep was good.
I thought the SONG was good and I usually don't dig musical numbers at all.
I didn't hate Dash in the least.

Maybe not as good as ROH2, but still a very fun episode.

This episode was pretty cool and all, but Gummy is still best pony.

The episode was predictable, but the fantastic Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash duet more than made up for it. Oh, and flying Tank.

So far, that's 7 out of 7 episodes this season that have been at least good. Not bad at all.

Perhaps. As I said in the last thread, I found the pet contest to be suitably lengthy to portray the attitude of a high-stakes competition (or high-stakes to the pets, at least). Competition scenes need to be kinda long if the point of it is to narrow down a group of competitors to a "last man standing" situation.

The Sisterhooves Social could better fit into a smaller time frame because it was an obstacle course race, and it would be easier to just show Rarity and Sweetie breezing past the competition in each element up until the last jump. The pet competition needed to be a bit more substantial to get a range of what Rainbow was seeing and expecting.

If that makes any sense.
