Snips serves an integral purpose to the plot of episode 6 and is cute in a non-traditional way if you allow yourself to see it. Bridle Gossip is still a great episode. Hop, Skip and Jump has a proper version that's much nicer? Otherwise it's okay...not great, though.

Celestia are not worshipped per-say, but honoured and revered by the majority of the Ponies. Other inhabitants of the world relations towards the Princess are unknown, it could be that they just don't know about her existence, but that is to be explored in the future.

Others:
It is rumoured that Griffons worship Wind, Mountain and Sky gods and godesses. Though the report of this are few and not fully explained, mostly since they don't like to have visitors among their homes. In all seriousness, on the other hand, Pinkie Pie can be far too energetic for my tastes and individual moments. I prefer her when she's placid and just plain fun, and I'm not really her sort of zealous party person anyway. Show Stoppers has that song at the end rather than the proper version and spends an egregious amount of time on things I feel are irrelevant to the progression of the narrative as a whole - like, you could cut out bits and pieces here and there and it'd still be one coherent, contiguous whole. On the third point, Smile Smile Smile is jarring in its transformation from sweet, soft acoustic song, to choral power ballad; it needs to be softened, and more of a metamorphosis, rather than a straight-up change.

Well, this is my own headcanon (spoilered for shitty fanfic material)
After Discord's defeat, Celestia did jackshit to actually rule. She was always going to parties to celebrate victories, events, etc. etc. and Luna ended up bearing a brunt of the work, to the point where Luna was often raising both sun and moon.
Despite all her hard work, Luna isn't recognized and downright feared, Celestia, loving her sister despite her lack of sense of responsibility created the original Nightmare Night (which was called Luna Fest) demanding subjects spend at least one night of the year praising Luna and giving her tribute.
Unfortunately, the first Luna Fest was also the night Luna got pissed and became Nightmare Moon.
Celestia couldn't bring herself to fight her sister, especially not when, deep down, she felt Luna was right.
But then, as the endless night continues, all life begins to suffer, and for the first time, Celestia understands that to be a princess, you must care for your subjects, and Luna was no longer doing that.
In the end, Celestia was remorseful, she felt if she had only done her job and paid more attention to her sister none of it would have happened.
And that's why she is as she is. She hates the formalities of being a Princess, but she fears letting it fully drop would result in her reverting back to her old ways, and worse, neglecting both her sister and her subjects again.
