Thanks on behalf of the general for doing requests, contribution is awesome.>>31237937 If Deafdefiler shows up you should ask him for some recommendations, he's a pretty big genre afficionado. If you're interested in creepier stuff with deeper meaning, and don't mind following a story more than influencing the gameplay, I'd suggest Saya no Uta - it's one of my favorite games from the genre, super creepy and thought-provoking while still dealing with the tropes of the genre for acclimation to people unfamiliar with them.>>31237950 That's part of the division at the moment; people aren't sure what kind of VN the game would even take the form of - whether it'd be a straight-up dating sim, something inserting darker undertones into the setting for the sake of story expansion and interesting plot points, or if it'd follow the show pretty straightforwardly. My only problem with the latter is that, while it might be fun to watch the escapades of the ponies in the show, playing through that kind of simple and light-hearted stuff has proven to be uninteresting in the past, especially from the few fan-games that have come about dealing with it. That said, there's a reason the show is awesome - harnessing that special blend of 'not quite boring and saccharine' might make it worth playing. I'm having trouble thinking of a plot point that would launch it from that style, though.
