Though the general perception of VN's is 'weaboo dating sim with loli schoolgirls', it's basically just a format of storytelling that involves the player with visuals and interaction.

Kind of like an adventure game but with more narration and storytelling and less actual gameplay, dependent on the game itself. They can tell a variety of stories, from murder mysteries, to slice of life in school days, or just say fuck it and ask you how many girls you want to fuck.

That's part of the division at the moment; people aren't sure what kind of VN the game would even take the form of - whether it'd be a straight-up dating sim, something inserting darker undertones into the setting for the sake of story expansion and interesting plot points, or if it'd follow the show pretty straightforwardly.

We were visiting my wife's family when my son was three. He has a cousin that is just a couple of months younger. My brother-in-law had set up a tent in the basement so the boys could 'camp out'. One afternoon we put them down for a nap and after about an hour I heard some giggling. I went downstairs to settle them down.
As I rounded the corner from the stairs I was stopped dead in my tracks by the sight before me. My nephew was completely naked on his hands and knees. My son is on his knees behind him and naked from the waist down with his right hand on his ass.
I didn't even know what to do. I asked as calmly as I could, "What are you doing?". My son simply looked at me and said, "Daddy, we're playing butt!". And...I'm out. I didn't even say anything and turned around and walked upstairs.
I told my wife and in-laws that they hand an issue in the basement to take care of. I sat down and started laughing. Later I had to recount the entire story to everyone and we all had a great laugh.
I'm keeping this story in my back pocket for his first date, graduation, wedding, blackmail, etc.

Squeak already has a hand in every other MLP project in existence - I admire his organizational skills and writing talent, but there's no reason Squeak needs to be in EVERYTHING.

And yeah, every project has a huge group of people necessary to make it function. Writers seem the easiest to find - getting artists to do new original art would be a clusterfuck, and music probably even harder.

It's a lot of work for something people might not even want in the first place... but I'd still be willing to help and hop on board if anything comes of the idea.
