Dash isn't exactly the most loyal of ponies (kept trying to cheat AJ and leave Fluttershy behind on the dragon mission). Fluttershy can be quite unkind like in the Best Night Ever.Both Applejack and Rarity came off pretty good in this episode.

She's actually usually very good with her element.Most of the ponies have had an episode or two where they struggle with their own element and have to be reminded of it by the others. Pinkie and Dash come to mind. I'm not really sure why it's like this when it should be the other way around. Suited for Success was kind of the perfect "Element of Harmony" episode, where Rarity was OVERLY Generous and her friends had to learn to not take advantage of it.

This was actually a pretty good episode for AJ and Rarity, AJ was pretty much the only one able to speak to her openly and honestly about what the problem was and it let her understand what she needed to do.Rarity seems to have these epiphany moments when AJ talks to her for some reason.

Dash's own brand of honest has shown up a lot, the only time we've seen her loyalties come into play are the season openers and the Gilda episode. The Elements don't really define the characters (although I would argue that Rarity, Fluttershy, and Pinkie usually define theirs pretty well), but at the same time the show's really portrayed AJ as fiercely loyal and Dash as brutally honest.The Gilda ep was a pretty good look at Dash's loyalty but most of it has just been her being honest while AJ is more loyal. Maybe we'll see more of it in the next two episodes, they are Dash-centric after all.
