By your own logic, the pony Ruby was with in SS would be Berry's sister, not the other way around.

Your explanation for Bridle Gossip simply doesn't stand up to Occam's Razor. Berry was shown pulling Ruby into a house in a protective manner. By applying the Razor, and since this is a cartoon, we can logically assume one of two things:

1) Berry is Ruby's mother
2) Berry is Ruby's sister

Now, by simple elimination, since we now know that Berry is not Ruby sister, we must logically assume that Berry is Ruby's mother. If anything, this episode has strengthened the tenuous evidence we had before. Making a leap of logic and saying "Berry is Ruby's sister and the pony she was with in SS is her mother" does not work logically without applying it the other way around.

It's all opinions and fun of course, but I simply had to offer my argument. Thanks for your time.
