not surprising. in the energy industry and environment-related career work, apparently fucking your colleagues over is a profession in and of itself. it's just curious that they withhold these trade secrets when the only people who ever use them are the people who generally already know them, or are in the trade and therefore in need of them, already. but, you know, i guess you need to keep the edge on.

i think you took my silly comment a little too seriously. you certainly read as though you're not too fond of book learning. i agree on most counts, and i'm not going to tell you theoretical knowledge is as broad, versatile or strong as practical, but certainly one thing you can learn from books is how to draw. people do it all the time. i'm not going to question stylistic decisions (like, say, rendering individual hairs) because that's the artist's prerogative, and books are very often wrong, but still, don't write them off, man. in this case there's definite useful application. |
