And who decides what is your talent? if you enjoy it, you most likely did it a lot, and people could see that as talent where it was actually just working at it

So much this. Ponies are the first things I've been drawing for over 10 years at least. And I've only picked up ponies a few months ago. Basically releared how to draw with the addition of learning a whole new style. Sure I'm not the best since I wasn't born with talent, but holy crap... Well yes, there's something of a self-fulfilling prophecy issue here, but I don't completely disagree with you. My point is, that *all other things being equal*, the person who is both talented and dedicated will be better than the person who is just dedicated. Of course, the issue is that we don't know what our talents are until we dedicate ourselves to them, which just emphasizes my point that you shouldn't be worried about whether or not you're naturally good at something. If you have a passion, pursue it.

This is all besides the point that I don't actually think The Beatles were particularly good musicians.

i'm pretty sure it's fluffy. vectors, doodle walls, "few somewhat okay" drawings when he really means "a great deal of quality shit", it all fits. and if it's not, i'm wrong, eh. but i honestly think people need to have more confidence in themselves about this. i've seen artists here grow and improve with dedication and time, that's all the evidence i need in favour of effort.
