My own 'original' character is a unicorn based off of Medic from TF. He'd move into Ponyville as the town's new doctor. He starts out amicable enough but he takes "prevention is the best cure" to ridiculous levels that boarder cowardice. He often criticizes Rainbow Dash and Apple Jack for putting their bodies through such roughness and feels Fluttershy should not work such a hazardous occupation, especially not so close to the Everfree Forest. He starts out getting along well with Twilight, Zecora, and the Nurses, but ends up having a falling out when they learn his specialty spells as a unicorn can instantly heal ponies from the brink of death itself at seemingly no cost of his own effort. Even moreso because of his reasoning for it: He thinks if he does the healing spell too often, it'll just encourage ponies to be reckless and get hurt.
He's ultimately kind of a dick who pisses everyone off and would put the world in a bottle if he could.
