Carrot Top said, smiling warmly at her host. Ditzy and her were passing through, taking a train-ride while hoof-delivering an important package to the orange haired pony's relatives. "Luckily her feeding frenzy won't be on my tab tonight." She said, nodding and closing her eyes, agreeing with herself.
"A'course, a'course. I'm pretty much head honcho 'round these parts, and I do mah best to sport the town about best I can." Braeburn replied, leading the way along the main road through town. "What brings you through Appleloosa anyways? I have to assume that you arn't here for our world famous apple cider."
"No, I've just got a present for one of my nieces, and Ditzy just insisted she come along." Carrot stopped at the wooden fence and hopped her two front hooves up on the top beam. "Plus, cider sounds a little soft for a town as far out west as this is." She gave a devious look before glancing away towards the cattle.
"Well... I never expected that you would be interested in the harder beverages... But I have just the thing." He pivoted his body around and reached in to produce a small silver flask with an apple encircled by three Xs. Deftly maneuvering the top off he offered the liqour to his guest.
Taking it in her mouth, tilting back and gulping down a swig Carrot Top felt a warming sensation fill her body. It was strong, almost too strong, but after that experiment with fermented carrots, hardly anything could knock her over. She hoofed it back to Braeburn and gave a dazed smile to the increasingly charming pony. The alcohol was quick and to the point, "ah'm not just interested in drinks that are hard. I 'ave a whole length...ly interest in things that are long... I mean... Hard..." She slurred and let her head droop to the fence as she gazed at the tan pony with glazed eyes. |
