The Mary Sue=perfect is an oversimplification. It depends on how big the flaws are compared to what her strengths are.

Fluttershy's stare has big Mary Sue potential, as well as her ability to communicate with animals. But that's countered by her being afraid of pretty much everything, being a doormat, being unable to control her Stare (it can come out for dragons, or when chickens aren't listening to her) and by the fact the she oncce failed majorly at her special talent.

Twilight's immense magical power's and being the Princess's student is also, prime Mary Sue material. But that's counted by the fact that she's socially awkward (she needs an instruction manual to host a party) she is nervous to the point of crazy about disappointing Celestia, most times when she tries to use magic to solve problems it backfires (the snow plow, parasprites, Smartypants doll) making things worse, and she has some OCD issues.

But the thing is, Rainbow has nothing that can counter her being the fastest in the world as a filly, and being the most important. The one pony whos absence would have changed everyone else's lives.

Maybe if she had dorsema, like what captcha is suggesting, that might be able to counter it. But she's just getting better. She was already the best, but now she's getting better. By season three, she'll be Rainbooming everywhere she goes and have unicorn magic too.

What counts as a Mary Sue trait depends on what the norm for the show is.

Like a show where everyone can shoot lasers out of their eyes, on person being able to shoot slightly stronger lasers out of their eyes wouldn't be a Mary Sue trait. let me put it this way.

the first 5 episodes are trying to be the lewdest episodes of any show.

The next 4 are more conventional episodes that are more tame but better. (honestly i think the show just gains in quality as it proceeds)

there are then a few episodes where the animation team just experiment with different techniques (using flash, using solely CG etc....) and then finally the last two episodes are all out insanity that actually manages to somehow make the show make some sort of sense.

I'd definitely recommend watching it in entirety. But i also know how its not for everyone.

Especially those who prefer voilence over sex....

Alright, let's get one thing straight. I find it detestable that you call every advantageous position, skill or personality aspect a "mary-sue trait."
You seem to use the term mary-sue with amazing liberty where it does not apply, and are cheapening the term as a whole. You are a part of the problem that's slowly killing the idea of creative writing by espousing your narrow-minded view of how writing and to an extent character development has been done since writing began.

This being said, on the subject of Rainbow Dash you seem to be confused about the sheer extent to which a character's advantages must outweigh their flaws to qualify as a mary-sue. You seem to have forgotten that in all practice the mary-sue must have all situations revolve around him/her and they must ALWAYS be in the right and be INTENDED to be seen as the ideal person/pony/whatever.
Rainbow Dash is not this. She is brash, arrogant, and stubborn. Plus, we don't always see her opinion as the correct one. In fact, we disagree with her VERY frequently.

I think the lack of reaction and feed back is because there are not the kinds of people on right now willing to give said feed back, on account of shyness or lack of care for the particular work you've done. I have to admit, I don't find Dr. Who interesting personally due to not seeing any of the episodes, so I can't say if it's faithful to the show or not. Plus, I have a LONG dinner. I love Italin bread

but regardless of my eatings, I really did like the voices. Again, I can't say if they are matching the the characters from Dr. Who, but I did like Twi and Spikes voice. I feel they are the best that one can do as a fan. As for the progression of events, again, I have not heard or listened to a lot of radio plays, or ever radio in general, but i did feel it presented each environment clear and presentable. I did get a good sense on what things where going on as each thing happened.

I really did like it as a work from fans, but again, I'm just not into Dr. Who as much as some other people are. BUT, I do look forward to future workings and installments so that I might get into it more.
