With a quick, strong shake of her wings, they're dry enough to fly again, and she jumps at your chest and wraps her arms around you, before telling you to hold on. Obviously, you hold on. Carrying her, you walk over to the nearest door, open it, and go outside, before you feel the ground vanish from beneath your feet. And you're off, straight up. She's fast, even carrying you, and you feel like you're in a wind tunnel. Kind of like a hairdrier, except instead of being warm, it's bloody freezing. And you're still rising, you can see your breath cristalising in front of your face, before you leave it behind, ever accelerating. And then you feel your little bit of warmth, from Dash, slip away, as she lets go, and the two of you begin to fall. You're not sure whether you're more scared, or more cold, but certainly you're both. Dash, on the other hand, is spinning around and around, drying off. As the ground gets ever closer. And closer. And closer. At what seems like a moment before you hit the ground, you feel her catch you, and instinctively hold her close while she slows the two of you down to a hover a few feet off the air. You open your eyes, see her face, and... |
