Nurgle's core emotion is despair
His followers have all gone beyond the despair threshold (fatal disease being the most common factor that drives them to seek the protection of papa Nurgle) and have come out of the ordeal cheerful and happy, free of worrying about their future or any concern over their wellbeing
They're functionally, immortal, immune to pain, and find joy and delight in bringing the gifts of their beloved Grandfather Nurgle to all who stand before them. Nurgle is explicitly said to care more about his mortal followers than any other god, takes personal delight and interest in each and every one of his devotees and has a special place in his heart for each new pox or toxin created.
Nurgle is the god of despair, death, ruin, and destruction, but he is also the god of acceptance.
This is why he is naturally opposed to Tzeentch, who cannot afford to let his elaborate plans crumble and decay, and embodies energy, change, ambition, and hope |
