!!cJ4MGVqvOKw 10/13/11(Thu)15:55 No. 30532764 >>30532513 unfortunately i've never played age of empires (not a big fan of RTS games), so i can't comment on that, but the premise is basically this, with /co/ ideas, as a preliminary:at the end of what is basically the human race's demise, a few humans are sealed up in stasis to outlive a catastrophic solar event that will almost certainly burn away the atmosphere and kill all life on earth. this is all preliminary shit, though - similar to the way the adventure time intro passes through the post-apocalyptic landscape of ooo. then we fast-forward about ten thousand years to find that the catastrophic solar event didn't occur with anywhere near the predicted ferocity, and humans got it wrong - but in the aftermath of the human race, their ruins allowed other species that stumbled upon them to develop into the species we know today (and some that are in my personal fanon) - say, ponies, zebras, apes and whatnot. this is set about ten thousand years before the beginning of the series, so basically, this last group of about one hundred humans comes out and finds they can't survive in the new world because other creatures are now competitive and they don't have access to the resources necessary to overcome them. so most of the humans try to make contact with them and live in peace, but inadvertently get involved in skirmishes that slowly pick them off, but do far more damage to the animals who have gained sapience and intelligence, giving humans a reputation as crazy powerful eldritch monsters. anyway, as this is all happening, one human and his family remain in the area with the stasis, and the human (a scientist) tries to discover some way to give humans the edge again. long story short, he goes mad, gains incredible power, and eventually becomes an abomination - then he takes on the name Discord and starts tormenting the world as its new ruler and god, the last human.
