NYX, GRIFFY, AND THE MAGICAL CHAMBER OF INFINITE MYSTERY (1987 DIRECTOR'S CUT)
At the epic conclusion of our last instalment, we left Griffy on the verge of a legendary battle with a foe so terrifyingly numerous and powerful that it was a certainty he simply would not survive. With the existence of the next chapter called into question by the laziness of the production team, it looked like there would never be canonical resolution to this dastardly cliffhanger. Many (read: zero) fanfictions and fanarts were created in order to provide some sort of closure for the restless fans of NYX AND GRIFFY'S HIGH SCHOOL REUNION, each of whom sat in anticipation on the edge of their seat, awaiting some final declaration from the author on Griffy's final fate.
On the other side of the looking glass, through which we have now gone, Griffy's fear was beginning to rule over his body, and he could barely hold himself high, awaiting the onslaught of horrifically corrupted Zombie Pies that approached with reckless speed and carelessness.
There was no solution, and no hope. Nyx was no help. A crowd of fearsome bronies, each more deformed than the last, had approached from the other direction, pursuing her with relentless ferocity and a shambling gait that conjured the truest of fears.
The lead brony roared menacingly. A tall, stocky fellow, missing most of his face and the right half of his body, clad in a shirt that said '20% cooler' and carrying a Fluttershy toy, leading a clan of other, similar-looking fellows, each more dead and monstrous than the last.
Together, they let out a blood-curdling scream, a pack of banshees singing a scratchy, demonic version of 'Winter Wrap-Up' as they cavorted mindlessly around.
Trapped between a Pizza Hut and a Toys 'R' Us, Griffy and Nyx were stuck.
Suddenly, a cry echoed forth from the ruins of Ponyville, a loud roar of "BULLET SPONE IS HERE!" that shook the ground with volume. |
