And to each his own. I don't mind if someone doesn't like my work. I only mind when it's implied, but mostly explicitly stated, that I'm unprincipled as opposed to someone else who takes forty-five minutes to draw Applejack, be near 100% pleased with it, but still ask for help when there are obvious mistakes right in front of their faces that could easily be fixed with a reference or something. Not that they're bad for it, they're learning (hopefully). You have to understand that when I criticize, I have nothing against the artist, only their work, and even then I'm always looking forward to seeing improvement and I care about them. KM and Caluliri seem like hopeless cases and that they'll dismiss anything people say (sound familiar?) as they only do it as a hobby. Yeah, because hobbies are meant for pissing away free time instead of improving. This has nothing to do with competition, either. This is self-actualization here, which goes beyond fanart. You'll have plenty of time to not push yourself and turn your brain off when you're sleeping. So when I say that some guy who drew something can't draw, it has nothing to do with hatred. It's just the way it is. If you'd deny that some artist drew a head with absolutely no structure no matter what it looked like, then you're blind or you don't give a fuck. |
