10/09/11(Sun)18:09 No.30418195>>30417287 Lyra swings the door shut with her hoof, just a little too strong. She winces at the bang - she was going to pretend to be happy again, like after most of her performances. It's easier that way. She doesn't want to worry Bon-Bon, but much as her work was stellar as always, there's not much demand for classical music in ponyville. She can't pay her half of the rent this month. Again. She can't pay for food this month. Again. Bon-Bon pokes her head around from the kitchen, bringing out the smell of fresh baking. Fresh baking Lyra doesn't deserve. She flashes Bon-Bon a weak smile, but knows it wasn't enough when she watches the love of her life's face drop. Lyra is so dissapointing, she knows. A moment later, Bon-Bon hurries out, carrying a tray of freshly baked cookies. Lyra doesn't want an... Lyra really wants one. She doesn't deserve it. Bon-Bon doesn't really give her a choice, pushing it into her mouth with a quick giggle. Even Lyra can't surpress a smile after that. "Bad turnout?", asks Bon-Bon, as if it could be anything else. Lyra responds with a quick nod, and Bon-Bon wordlessly hugs her. Feeling the pressure around her upper back as Bon-Bon holds her tightly, and the breath against her neck as she takes in Lyra's hair, is enough to loosen the pressure on Lyra's heart. Lyra apologises for not being able to make the rent again. Bon-Bon sighs and tells Lyra it's fine, they share everything. It doesn't matter - she loves her, they're not roommates, they're lifemates. And as much as Lyra will keep striving to do better, she knows that there's one thing she's already reached perfection in.
Maan, writing is hard, I hate it, but this is already the third try, I'm starting to get brain fatigue |
