Nope, still no good at writing on demand She is, perhaps, all things considered, the most graceful thing you've ever seen. Her wings, now fully grown, switch between flapping and holding steady in the blink of an eye as she dances across the stage. She may have thought her dreams were in the sky when she was younger, but her future is clearly on the ground. The spins, the twists, the jumps and the vaults tie together to make a truly breathtaking performance. At the end, the audience erupts with applause, she bows, and glides off the stage, keeping herself mere inches away from the ground as she mainains her bow. You have seen beauty, and it has just left the building. As you leave yourself, and start the long walk back home, she scoots up beside you, and asks what you thought of her first show as a professional. You tell her, of course, the truth. And she gives you a smile. You can tell she's not used to it, though, her legs are shivering slightly with every step, so you take the initiative, bend down, and pick her up, just below the forelegs. You tell her she can stay at your house tonight, if she wants, you can sleep on the couch. You feel her nodding against you and she grunts approvingly - she's already falling asleep. When you get home, you set her down in your bed, and start to move away - but find she's still holding your arms. You turn back to look at her, and she whispers "Stay with me, tonight, please". And how could you possibly refuse the most beautiful pony you've ever known? |
