You have many questions, and there are presumably so few answers. This Cello pony may not be the most knowledgeable of ponies (if anything, she seems too skittish, careless and emotional, all that sweet jazz, to be any real help) but you need some answers and someone has to be able to give them to you.
Sitting yourself down in the only chair that looks like it can fit such a large creature as a human, you take a quick look around the room again while waiting for Cello to join you. It's full of hand-drawn pictures of ponies, many of whom you don't recognise, but the artist must have serious talent. Is it Cello? Why doesn't she have her Cutie Mark if she can play music and draw so well?
The soft, lilting sound of a beautiful melody reaches your ears, coming from the kitchen, and two ponies walk in. One is Cello, quietly pulling a bow across a small electric cello, and the other is a pony you don't recognise, a dark blue pony whose gangly legs and small horn are almost comical in their cuteness. Cello tells you that the pony's name is Lullaby, and she is her sister. They look lovely together, as though they were made to be perfect compliments to each other.
You ask her your questions. She tells you that you are in the Everfree Forest, the only place where ponies are truly safe in the modern day and age, and she is not perturbed by your human appearance, as you so eloquently put it, because she is the one who used her magic to summon you here.
She's a magical researcher, and she needed some help from someone not under the sway of the Grand Tyrant to help her fight back. Someone from your world. You were just pulled in by chance, and now, thanks to lucky happenstance, you can finally help her.
