!!cJ4MGVqvOKw 10/08/11(Sat)10:27 No.30377301>>30377201 Dropping your messenger bag, and hoping your thick cargo shorts and bright orange fleece aren't too much weight to impede your fantastical ability to swim, you lunge towards the moat and dive in, hoping you haven't left the decision too late.
The water currents are surprisingly swift and fierce, as though motivated by some sort of powerful energy. They move with an urgent sort of strength that batters you mid-stream, but you force your arms to swipe and legs to kick, pushing yourself through the water with all the power you have at your disposal.
You can barely see underwater without your goggles, and the pressure is making your eyes begin to burn, but you can just make out the shape of a pony at the bottom of the moat, lying still in the mud. Your heart churns all of a sudden, twisted through by a sudden shot of fear, and you dive downwards, hoping to get to it in time.
The slow burn of air trying to escape your mouth, your lungs gasping for breath, is enough to throw you off a little, but you wrap your arms around its soft, fluffy midsection, lifting it with every drop of might you can muster.
A spirit of strength, maybe something magical, flows through you, and you feel revitalised, invigorated in a way you haven't been since you arrived. Adrenaline pounding, you release the breath you were holding and start desperately swimming to the surface.
Despite your combined weight, and the fact that you refuse to float, somehow, you make it, pulling both yourself and the pony up onto the riverbank some way downstream.
It's a Christmas miracle, you think, remembering that it had been Christmas back home and in being here, you are missing out on a ton of cool presents and things. Fuck!
At the same time, the pony begins to stir.
What now, mister hero? |
