I had an idea looooong ago for a Twilight & Pinkie episode, but the more I think about it, the more I think it would work as a Pinkie & AJ episode (and holy shit do we need more Pinkie & AJ).
The basic idea is that Pinkie has gotten a little extra money from the Cakes and they want her to try to open a new store in Manehattan, and manage it until they find someone that can do so full-time. Since she isn't familiar with the town, AJ offers to accompany her. They start out in the nice end of town, and Pinkie is awe-struck, but then they get to the address the Cakes gave her and it's a pretty shitty neighborhood. Pinkie, however, is still in high spirits, even though AJ is obviously starting to doubt this whole thing.
Business starts out with very little customers, and AJ tells Pinkie it might be a good idea to just go back home, but she doesn't listen. She starts advertising and, soon enough, the store is flooded with customers. She gets overwhelmed, though, and ends up having a breakdown (not to the caliber seen in Party of One, but still significant). AJ realizes that, while she was indeed right, she should've been more supportive.
Moral: even if you doubt your friend's chances of success, you should still try your hardest to support them. |
