It's nice. The vocals needs some EQ'ing at the lower frequencies though (reduction). The lead synth is great, I like the slide, it makes it sound chaotic in a way.

The attack on the lead synths is a little too bassy, like it sounds FLOFF FLOFF FLOFF (You can hear it clearly at 1:16). If you follow my advice and lower the bass a little and it sounds empty, try adding a sub-bass that follows the lead synth or something.

I've always had a problem in the mid range. Too much bass or too much treble. What you said about the EQ is correct about lowering the bass and the sound completely going to shit.

I'll admit, in other series with a more male-centric cast there is usually one girl-centric episode... and they were never good.
This is mainly because those episodes focused on this whole "girl power" motif where the guys are suddenly chauvinistic assholes for the first five minutes for no reason and the girls have to prove them wrong or some shit. It never works and the moral usually falls flat because the men hold the idiot ball for no reason throughout the episode.

I mean, it's not -always- like that, and MLP doesn't have to follow this formula obviously (mostly because it wouldn't make any sense). They might be able to do something with it, but we need more character development of male characters first.
