You know what? I know some people here are going to give me shit for this, but this is why I like fanfics, at least when they're well-written. They sometimes mash together characters in an ensemble cast that don't always interact, and I love it when that happens. Have had a couple of excellent brews, but I find myself strangely attracted to Victory Brewing, Sly Fox, and Brooklyn. My local bar prides itself on large selections so there's always something I haven't tried.

At the moment, I keep finding myself with a glass of whiskey. Irish in particular, but scotch and bourbon aren't out of the question.

She isn't straight edge. She's just leery of anything that isn't familiar to her. Drugs would not be found anywhere near academy, so they would seem very worrisome. There's also the stigma of mind-altering substances within academics, and the controversy surrounding them. She also seems like one that has a very addictive personality. If she tried weed there would be an entire episode of her being leery towards it, taking a single hit and falling in love, and spending every second of the next few days blazed out of her fucking mind until her friends break her psychological addiction.
