i think you just need a more concise opener. it's fine to set things up for later in the story, but if your intro paragraph alienates the reader and makes them want to stop reading right there, it's all wasted effort. work on editing for conciseness. the repetitive, unnecessary sentences are the worst part of it right now. maybe consider rewriting it using as little adjectives as possible.

also fanfiction isnt supposed to be serious. trying to write about the duality of mankind in the my little pony universe in a way that isnt comical isnt going to pan out

Thank you for your well written criticism, I shall incorporate and use them to help me improve my writing style. Gaining more insight on 4chan and from my collage broadens the amount of minds perspectives as opposed from one single source. Everyones opinions are invaluable.
