>>30257609 I've learned more about friendship from this show than any other.
I've learned that "appropriate" is more important than "correct" in most situations. I've learned that tone of voice matters more than words to most people. I've learned that when you value a friendship, you must fight to maintain it in the face of mundanity's erosion. I've learned that most people want more friends, and they're easier to make than I thought, as long as I have the courage to try.
I've learned that who you know is often more important than what you know. I've learned that life purpose is a thing worth discovering, and that dreams are worth seeking. I've learned that a group of friends is valuable for dozens of reasons.
I've learned that friends give support, and to be a friend, I need to support my friends. I've learned that family can be more distant than friends, and friends can be closer than lovers.
But most of all, I've learned that I'm not alone. Thousands of fans my age have embraced this show (some of them due to my own actions). There is a strong desire out there among creative people, writers, artists, papercrafters, and musicians, for high-quality entertainment that doesn't pander or cut corners, and somehow we've all made our way here. |
