10/02/11(Sun)03:00 No.30194585After Unicron the Chaos-Bringer defeated Optimus, last of the Disciples of Primus, he wiped out the Decepticons too, deeming them unworthy followers. He paid little heed to the humans until they started dropping nukes down volcanoes. Then he wiped them out too.
Entire ecosystems disappeared in the chaos. But animal life on Earth continued in desolate and remote areas, such as Siberia. The dark energon caused mutations, and in some cases, strange abilities. One species of mutant chicken-snakes could drain the life-force from its prey. Scorpions' and bats' DNA infected lions that took shelter in caves. Lizards of various sorts grew to enormous size, some growing oddly long and thin scales resembling mammalian hair, others gaining the ability to open Space Bridges biologically.
Of all the higher mammals, horses were the luckiest. Though reduced in stature, and having lost their natural camouflage due to the mutations, some gained telekenesis and other energon-powered abilities. These were called unicrons, because their abilities resembled his in the sapient intent driving their use.
Unicron, having at long last conquered his age-old foe Primus, settled down to enjoy being ruler of all. The very planet which he embodied, the parasites that lived on his skin, gave him pleasure as he tormented them, not only in body but in mind and heart. He reveled in tearing apart families with a well-placed word, subverting the science of the growing horse civilization with unexpected energon effects which skewed results to the absurd. |
