As someone who doesn't really care for this show, let me just say you should watch the first four, maybe the season 2 two-parter.

The first two are okay, but episode 3 and 4 are apparently more typical of the show, with 4 (the one where AppleJack is sleep-deprived) being a highlight of the series. It was what I was told to base my opinion of the show on, and I wasn't too impressed.
