Applejack was- guess what? - farming apples when Carrot Top hurried to warn her about the new threat. She joined up with Big Mac and gallopped to the school to pick up Applebloom. The school was in total chaos, and Big Mac had to sacrifice himself so Applebloom could be saved. There was no sing of Scootaloo or Sweetie Belle. Applejack's years of tree-bucking made her hindlegs a very effective weapon against zombies, and she managed to get to the library with Applebloom.

Fluttershy was buying some carrots to the baby bunnies when a colt bit him. She fled to her cottage, and only saw as Carrot Top was fleeing as well. I'll tell her fate when we get there.

Rarity was working on a new and faboulus desing when Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo stormed into the boutiqe, quickly locking the door behind them. Scootaloo collapsed, as the bitemark on her flank oozed blood. Sweetie Belle started to cry, and desperately told Rarity to kill Scootaloo. Rarity was shocked how scandalously her little sister behaved, and told her to go to her room while she started to apply first aid to Scootaloo to the best of her skills. Unfortunately, she awakened and went straight for the throat. Sweetie Belle rushed off to her room and locked herself in.
Pinkie Pie was helping out at Sugarcube Corner, when a funny looking customer came in. Mrs. Cake asked if she was alright, but the answer was not what she expected - the mare lunged at her, viciously tearing her flesh. Mr. Cake bucked the zombie off her, and yelled Pinkie to run for help.

Ok guys, here's some serious over-analysis of a children's TV show.

I'm pretty sure at this point that Harmony is The Force in Equestria, it binds everything together and keeps it working, as such, my question is as follows: is Harmony the only thing keeping the 6 friends? The subtitle "Friendship is Magic" it seems suggests that their friendship is held together via magical means, rather than meaning that their friendship has magic properties.

Think about it, the 6 are so different from each other, and compared to other ponies in Ponyville they're total sociopaths

Twilight is a bookworm that doesn't care for other social contact
Fluttershy lives on the edge of a forest full of deadly monsters and relies on animals for companionship
Rainbow Dash has apparently nothing but rivals and co-workers in Cloudsdale, the one time her friend from the past visits they have a falling out.
Rarity seems to barely be able to mask her contempt for everyone in Ponyville due to her elitism, also a gold-digger
Applejack is a huge materialist, cares about money so much that she went to the biggest party in the country just to make cash
Pinkie is simply insane, good for a quick laugh or casual encounter, terrible for long-term relationships

So is it a case of the 6 being friends only because they're the living avatars of the Elements of Harmony which somehow keeps them together?
