Mostly because the Internet has completely replaced newspapers, phone books, and magazines for me, and I'm not eager to give up my last method of page-turning. Old habits die hard. That's what I thought, until I borrowed one for a while. I can't standing reading on a glowing LCD screen. And for something larger, like a textbook (which I still buy despite with some frequency not being in school), especially math, I've got to have a physical copy no matter what. But for novels and any nonfiction in the humanities/social sciences, I'm totally digging it now. But I still get my newspaper delivered. Nothing is quite like having a coffee and omelette over a paper.

I know, I've just got a few, bigger-ticket items on my purchase list right now. I'm just now in a job that's makin' good money, so I'm sure I'll finally get one in a few months. |
