D-Crisis, day 34:
It is toying with us, there can be no doubt. It knows of our plans and mocks us for it. We know now where the bodies of the victims had vanished. They too were corrupted by its powers, into beasts mundane and extraordinary, all as garishly painted as the landscapes he transformed. His latest attacks have been different than before. Villages, cities, fortresses, simple yet thriving. Yet instead of human inhabitants, he has turned the inhabitants into a mockery of the weapon that would stop him. Horse-like in appearance, small in size, many bearing the features of the Chariots, but incomplete. He wouldn't risk orchestrating his own downfall. Satellite images show a bustling New York City, not far different than it had been a century ago as long as you don't scrutinize the citizenry too closely. Despite raising this would be army, he leaves them to their own activities. All attempts at contacting these populaces have resulted in immediate transformations. They seem almost oblivious of the world before. |
