a /co/mrade who has a love/hate relationship with the show due to loving it but being ashamed of it and hating the fans finds himself transported to equestria as a pony, with no knowledge of how or why he got there.

however, he is not alone. He soon finds 5 others have been transported to equestria as well. An overly enthused ponychan brony, an angry female weeaboo, a spastic furry, a fa/tg/uy, and a guy who is basically Walter from the Big Lebowski are all transported to equestria.

not only that, but an ancient evil is screwing with the humans, accentuating negative emotions spiderman 3 venom suit style and causing chaos around ponyville.

now it is up to him, the one sane but reluctant man, to corral the humans, fight the evil, and try with the help of the mane 6, to get back home.


I'm not sure what to call it yet, but that's the idea I had in mind.

It definitely sounds interesting. Extremely grimdark, but interesting. It'd only work if someone with experience in that sort of thing wrote it in my book, though. It'd need to feel realistic and visceral, just to make the transition between atmospheres and settings all the more jarring. It's cool (though it faces the same issues that Feeling Pinkie Keen did, in that it's obvious message is anti-human whereas the real message is to keep your shit together and make use of the important life lessons everyone should learn in childhood), if you could write it that'd probably be pretty neat. I think it'd be best to end it on a positive, albeit vague, note. Sort of start the ball rolling and leave it to the readers to decide whether he got his shit together or fucked it up royally. Postmodern endings are usually depressing, and fairly distressing too, but for this sort of thing they're necessary because it's meant to reflect some degree of realism - having a totally happy "everything is resolved" ending would undermine the entire point and message of the fic. Even scanning forward twenty years to a future point in his life and showing us would defeat that message. We'd need to decide how it played out in order to find its meaning to us.
