Guys, you all forget one thing - Discord used magic on EVERY character to make them "bad". Dash decision wasn't Dash's, because it was made after affection.
Same for AJ, she lied AFTER being enchanted.
Same for all other ponies - except Twi, he haven't got her.

So, in the end it turned out that Discord was the one who cheating. he wasn't able to make them truly forgot who they are, it was a trick.
Once mane cast realize that - they will get their will back.

In terms of resistance to Discord's power, I'd say:
Rarity=Fluttershy>Pinkie Pie>Rainbow Dash>Applejack

Fluttershy just seemed too innocent to be affected. No actual resistance like Rarity's where she was actually moving herself away from Discord. Still, I gotta give her some points for doing something.

Pinkie was sort of the same case as Fluttershy, but Discord eventually got her.

1. He was just a really douchey king, from what we can tell atm. He's douchey because that's how he inherently is, and he became king because he wanted power.
2. The royal sisters were confirmed to be beneath Discord in terms of power. So if Discord's a Titan (dude, fuck using Greek myths as a reference point), then the sisters are around God-tier.
3. It's implied that they created the Elements of Harmony for the sole purpose of overthrowing Discord's regime, so that's what I tend to believe. Still checking the dialogue in the episode for confirmation on mah theories, though.
