Black clouds swirl around the island, the ocean in an upset riot, roaring thunder crackling the surface, arcs spreading throughout, visible. "I'll need your help, Rarity. Try and bring up as many rocks from the ocean bed as you can." She asked.
"Of course, of course." Rarity focused, and with a rumbling a few stones nary a few feet wide each hover up as Twilight takes them over, lining them up in front, making the first part of the bridge.
"Keep them coming, Rarity!" Twilight had her eyes clenched.
"But Twilight, I can't-" Rarity started.
"Do it!"

"DO IT!" Twilight snapped.
The platform they were standing on started to rumble a bit as Twilights focus waned.
"Okay! Okay." Rarity gave in, and she resumed trying to pick up the rocks from the gullets of the roaring ocean, every rock allowed them a step closer towards the island. One step closer to Discord.

Regardless of how much magic power Trixie may or may not contain, he knowledge of spells and techniques is inferior to Twilight's, hands down. Trixie only knows stage magic it appears, and nothing else, while Twilight's magic has unlimited potential. The only possible way Trixie could ever be more powerful would be A) reading a book, or B) making a deal with some sort of antagonist to grant her more power.

Also Trixie has absolutely no need for revenge on anyone, because neither Twilight nor her friends did anything bad to her. AJ, Dash and Rarity dicked around at her show and she took care of them. Then Twilight picks up a huge space bear and gets rid of him. Trixie never says "OH NO HOW DARE YOU I'LL GET YOU NEXT TIME GADGET" or anything, she just goes "lol I'm still better than you" and runs away.

And I just write the Trixie clopfics because they're fun and Trixie's personality type is one I like to play around with, and because there's so little we know about Trixie, she's a lot more flexible.

Originally, the Twixie ship was created as a Hey Arnold! parody. Twilight doesn't even know Trixie has a crush on her. Trixie's infatuation is kept completely to herself, like Helga. Eventually, that concept was lost in favorite of hate/sex, revenge, lovey-dovey, etc. It depends on who is writing the story or drawing the pictures. Usually the end result is funny, regardless of the direction.

Technically, she's objectively the least bound by morals and the notion of humility. I think she's one of the more entertaining personalities in the show because of that fact -- jerkass characters, plainly speaking, are fun to play around with. It helps that she's not technically a shallow braggart, but actually has the credentials to back it up in performing a legendary maneuver twice in her relatively short lifetime -- she just inflates her ego out of proportion, which makes her more humbling experiences all the more satisfying for the episode, as well as for her character.

Not because of the general quality - while it was mostly poor, there were a few good ones in there, but in both cases I didn't read it for technical ability - but because there are so few really interesting ideas explored.
