Dragons do not belong to any currently existing animal class. They are not tetrapods, to begin with, rather having six limbs, whereas all mammals, reptiles and birds have four. Their most commonly depicted skeletal structure around the legs and body is more similar to predatory mammals than to reptiles or birds, however, and their wings are generally similar to a bat's wings. Scales and egg-laying are also possibilities for various mammal species. Again, however, since they spray liquids/gases (which is most seen in insects) and have six limbs, they are unlikely to be mammals either, though they seem closest to them than any other.
In short, your claims cannot have any reasonable foundation, since you necessarily lack an example of the species to study and cannot draw inference from existing creatures. |
