the show hasn't even been airing for, what, five months? and yet you still have threads just for the sake of having threads, full to the brim with inane bullshit like making up names for background characters, and OCs.
the thing is, /co/ is not a forum, but most general threads are full of people who would be much better off on a forum for their subject of interest (be it Ponies, Adventure Time, Transformers, Regular Show, any number of shows that usually have general threads). People want there to always be a thread to exist just for the sake of it, even if there's nothing to actually say.
if you have an actual thing you want to discuss? hey, that's fine. make a post saying like "hey, in this episode of my little pony, this character does this, but in another episode this happens," and then you actually discuss that point. sure, it won't last all day, and if people don't decide to adopt it as a general thread, it'll probably die off before 100 replies. but at least it's something worth existing.
you ever notice how simple it is to have a thread where people talk about their favorite superhero films, without it having to be "superhero movies general"? or a thread about the DC reboot and the new titles coming out, without it being "DC general"? those would be retarded.
if you have something to actually say, ask, or discuss, then go for it, i really don't care. but don't talk just for the sake of hearing yourself talk, that's the worst kind of person you can be. |
