>>29338088 I come from /b/, and personally, /co/ is more hateful than that place. Just those thread simulator videos are proof of that it's self. /co/ became more official when it was linked directly to Faust those many months ago, and it became a place where it was expected to have a higher standard by proxy. But /co/ is /co/, and since it's a 4chan board, it's subject to the same trolls and degenerates, only in greater volume. When someone says a disgusting comment that's porn related, it's a reflection on the whole general. Every time someone says something disgusting or revolting, it's a chance for another segment for another simulator thread, or re-enforces more stigma on the fans in general. Breaking the idea that hate is a norm and should be promoted it the first step to help every general and the board as a whole.
What has it been, 4 years, 5, since 4chan went up? In those preceding years, how often has hate and intolerance solved anything? How many faggot and nigger comments have been blasted by people that do not understand the underlining consequences in time? I'm no moralfag, I'm stating objectively, if you say something over and over again, it becomes true, and it effects not only the person being directed, but lurkers and people that hear about it by word of mouth.
I feel it's time for a change. For 4-5 years now the same thing has been going on. What greater definition of insanity can there be if not doing the same thing over and over again excepting something to change for the better in whatever endeavor, whether it making /co/ better or better reactions and responses from outside forces?
I'm not saying this is THE way, I'm saying there has to be a better way to talk with one another, and still hold onto what makes /co/ /co/. Surly everyone here has cried at the same thing in harmony at least once? That is also what /co/ is made of, humility and seldom feelings, not just hate and spite. |
