Well of COURSE any loser would like the Japanese dub. I mean, nevermind that most weeaboos are not fluent in Japanese and don't really have any basis for comparison as to what's good and what's bad, as long as each pony sounds like fifty other girls who put on the uninspired, vocally inbred "shy" voice and "tough" voice, it's in Japanese!
The language is somewhat limited anyway since it's phonetically-based. You HAVE to say certain words in a certain way, otherwise it may mean something completely different. Whereas in the romance languages you can say something in like fifty ways and it will still make sense. In English, since the language is so balls out and has no rules whatsoever so long as you get the words in the right order, double that number. That's what makes it better, and the hardest language to learn, really. Sure, it has rules, but the rules are ignored on so many occasions. And I'm sure other languages have been around even longer so people break the rules with them too, and PHYSICALLY, a japanese actor can be just as expressive as anyone else. As far as their language goes, with the rules that go into it, I'm just not sure it has the same flexibility that would allow a voice actor to come up with strange, but effective ways to emote. |
