>>29297713 "Ouch! Soaren, be more careful, you're pulling!"
"Sorry," mumbled the blue pegasus, abashed, through a mouthful of feathers. "This is, uh, my first time preening a, uh, girl. A little nervous."
"Just pay more attention," his yellow friend spat back, eyes narrowed in annoyance. Soaren couldn't help but recoil slightly at the glare. He'd always had difficulty working his own wings, a little clumsier with his technique than most pegasi were, but he didn't want to waste the opportunity to get to know his captain better. Which other rookie Wonderbolt could claim to have had the chance to preen the one-and-only Spitfire?
Beneath his hooves the yellow pegasus shifted, clearly more than a little uncomfortable stretched across the cold stone floor of the castle's premier guest room. Situated at the top of one of the draughtiest, oldest spires in the castle, neither of them could quite relax in each other's company, and sleep was made even more difficult by the sound of clattering windows somewhere downstairs.
"Just keep going," Spitfire sighed, making Soaren blush. Sometimes he hated his coat - Spitfire had a little smile on her face, more a cocky smirk than anything else, and he could feel his face heating up, a telltale sign of the embarrassment surely spreading across his cheeks. "You're pretty red, for a blue guy. That's cute."
Slowly slipping into a more relaxed posture, limbs spread across the ground, Spitfire groaned. Soaren's hooves wanted to dance across her body, lithe, toned and beautiful, but instead he simply caressed her wings, appreciating their bright, golden lustre with fond amazement.
"Get back to work, kid, we've got a long day ahead of us tomorrow and I'm pretty stressed out."
"Right, captain," the novice stuttered, albeit proudly. With a small flourish of his lips that danced across the mare's wings, producing a notable shudder of pleasure, he continued his work. |
