I think it's similar to that. I actually have this image of Luna in my head that's very different to the popular fanon conception - she's not demure, she's not a wilting flower, she's not weak. I see her as a skilled orator, an ambassador who's slightly out of practice, a little neurotic but mostly laid-back and friendly, you know? The sort of person who has ambition, but doesn't crave power. She'd share a dual power dynamic with Celestia - the behind-the-scenes power of the throne, who mingles with the lesser folk and controls them from within.
>>29224209 Who knows? On an extradiegetic level we know it's the whole "Disney made queens evil" thing. Within the confines of the narrative, who's to say why Celestia hasn't taken the title of monarch? Why would she refuse to become sovereign? Perhaps her parents are still alive, perhaps she just doesn't like being seen as an absolutist, perhaps there are political machinations at work. Don't ask me, I'm not Celestia. |
